"Digging" the hole for the concrete base for the stadium lighting poles


 

How do they dig a hole 17 feet deep and about 5 1/2 feet wide?  Kind of like what your dentist does when they clean your teeth, only on a little bit bigger scale - they blast away at it with an 18,000 psi water jet and then suction the water and mud out of the hole with a giant vacuum!!!


 

This is the re-bar that gives the light pole foundations strength!


 

These are the anchor bolts that will hold the poles to the foundations in hurricane strength winds!


 

A just poured light pole base - you've got 20 minutes to scratch your initials in it!


 

This is what they look like after the cake is baked!
